To file a claim
- Inform the insurance provider within 24 hours about the impending claim. If a third party is involved, tell your provider.
- Take photographs of the vehicle at the accident scene and gather as much information as you can about witnesses.
- Take your vehicle to the nearest garage approved by your insurance provider.
- If the situation demands, file an FIR. In case of theft, after investigation, if the vehicle is not found then the police will issue a no-trace certificate. Keep it safe.
- Provide your insurance provider with the necessary documents along with a duly filled claim form.
- A representative of the company may be appointed to assess the loss. They will file a report with the insurance company after inspection.
- If the claim is considered valid, the insurance company will release the funds. If your vehicle is in a network garage, this process will be cashless. The insurance company will settle the claim directly with the garage. If your vehicle is in a garage that is not part of the insurance provider's network, you will have to settle the amount with the garage and the cost of the claim will be disbursed to the account number provided by you to the company.
Terms and conditions of insurance claim

- Any item installed in your vehicle without the approval of the insurance company will have to be paid for separately by the vehicle owner.
- In case of less approval in the accident-hit vehicle, the insured will have to pay for it himself. You will have to talk to the surveyor.
- It will be the responsibility of the insured to provide the documents demanded by the insurance company.
- If CNG / LPG is fitted in your vehicle, then it is mandatory to update the insurance.
- If the vehicle has been sold, then it is mandatory to update the insurance. It is mandatory to update the name of the vehicle owner on the insurance.
- Any part which has rust/welding or sticking on it will not be covered in the claim by the insurance company.
- Make a claim on the vehicle in case of a collision/fight once. Only a single claim will be covered.
- On submitting the vehicle for claim, the DL (Driving License) will be verified, if the DL (Driving License) is found to be fake or incorrect then the full amount will be paid. The vehicle owner will have to make the payment.
- Please do not drive the vehicle after a vehicle accident/fight. The insurance company will not pay if there is damage to the engine and other parts while it is running.

How To Claim?

What are the policies available for covering the vehicles?

This type of policy covers all the risks covered under Motor Liability policy plus loss or damage caused to the vehicle due to: Accident, Fire, Explosion, Self Ignition, Lighting, Burglary, House Breaking, Theft, Riots & Strikes, Earthquakes, Flood, Typhoon, Hurricane, Storm, Cyclones, Malicious Acts, Terrorism, Transit by rail/road, air and waterways and also include towing charges.
What are documents required at the time of claim?
Copy of claim intimation given to insurer with xerox copy of policy and premium receipt, duly filled Claim Form, Driving License, Registration Certificate of Vehicle, Estimate of repairs from repairer and stamped receipt, Bills and Cash Memo of repairs, verification of road tax, Police Panchanama/FIR, Permit and Fitness Certificate and any other documents deem fit for the situation.
